2018 Jaguar E-Pace

The Jaguar is crafting some fine sports sedans and coupes. Along with that, it is evenly stepping into the market of SUVs. Though the Land Rover is playing an important role in crafting SUVs. But the Jaguar took the section of small SUVs, based on its sedans and coupes.

Well, after the F-Pace, Jaguar has introduced the E-Pace. It is relatively small than the F-Pace. And it takes much of its design from the sporty Land Rovers. Well, the Jaguar introduced the E-Pace in 2017. The styling resembles Evoque and the Discovery Sport. While the drivetrain has been taken from the Jaguar sedans. It is certainly the same pattern that was used while building the F-Pace. That is even the combination of parts and style taken from other Jaguars and Land Rovers.

Well, the E-Pace is assembled in Austria. While recently the Jaguar added up a Chinese partner to assemble this car for the Asian market. Since the beginning of 2018, the Asian models are coming from China.

Ahead of that, the E-Pace is divided into two wheelbases. The standard E-Pace gets three models with a lower power rating. While the R-Dynamic wheelbase even gets three model but with a higher power rating. Further, the E-Pace wheelbase models begin from $38,600. While the R-Dynamic starts from $46,400. The finest R-Dynamic HSE version is available for as low as $52,850.

So far it is so good! But there is a lot more left for this car on the market. While with this price it would certainly become hard for it.

Performance:

The lightest Jaguar SUV gets the lightest drivetrain. The mechanism is aligned if the fashion to offer off-road and on-road experience altogether. Further, the ride is full of joy and passion. Certainly, the E-Pace seems much like a Jaguar sedan or coupe turned into the SUV.

The base gasoline configuration is available with a 2.0 L 4-cylinder turbocharged Ingenium engine. While the powering is rated amid 246 hp of power with 269 lb-ft of torque. Further, an upgraded version is available with 296 hp of power making 295 lb-ft of torque. The front-wheel-drive comes standard while the all-wheel-drive stays option. But for the US market, the all-wheel-drive is standard.

Well, the E-Pace gets a couple of options for the diesel. And they get the same 2.0 L 4-cylinder engine. Further, the base integration is available with 150 hp of power pounding 280 lb-ft of torque. While the upscale version comes with 180 hp of power making 430 lb-ft of torque.

All the driving options come mated with the 9-speed ZF automatic transmission system. Ahead of that, the gasoline supreme model offers a comprehensive performance base. It can lap 0-62 mph within 7.2 seconds and covers a top speed of 135 mph. While the diesel version is good in offering fuel expense cut-down.

The exterior styling is not fresh. But it is nice. Well, the frontal design is borrowed from the bigger F-Pace. While the rear designing is brought in from the Evoque. Further, the cosmetics include the LED headlamps, 20-inch wheels, shark fin antenna, and a sleek spoiler.

Further, the designing includes a healthy dose of aerodynamics. The front design sways the wind on the top of the car dragging it to offer an additional downforce. While the rear design drives the wind down for a speedy thrust.

Interior:

This little Jaguar gets a neatly appointed interior. Well, it is comfortable and gets affordable luxury ingredients. The standard configuration includes leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, and gear knobs and leather accent. Further, fiber could even be found on the trim. Some additional personalization includes seating collection, color choices and ambient lighting.

Well, it is the smallest Jaguar SUV, but still, it offers plenty of seating space. Along with that, the E-Pace offers sufficient space for the cargo as well. The standard boot allows carrying the groceries and some other light material. While with the rear folded seats you get enough to carry too many bags and suitcases.

Features of 2018 Jaguar E-Pace

The E-Pace is blessed with a large 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Well, there is no Android Auto or the Apple CarPlay. But it gets the Android and Apple smartphone connectivity suite. Further, it is the Jaguar Touch Pro system with a smart usability and user-friendly environment. Additional features include 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, multimedia options, and the navigation.

Safety:

2018 Jaguar E-Pace Safety

The Jaguar E-Pace gets a healthy amount of safety features. The standard features include the emergency braking, rearview camera and parking sensors, lane keeping assistant, cruise control including the speed limiter and the driver condition monitor. Further, the driver assistance package adds adaptive cruise control including queue assistant, high-speed emergency braking and the blind spot monitoring.

Competitors:

Mini Cooper Country JCW

The Jaguar E-Pace has a lot of sporty ambition. But a low price Mini Cooper Countryman JCW stands in its way to progress. The Countryman JCW comes with a bit low powered engine, but its off-road capabilities make it a fun to drive a car.

Well, the E-Pace does make a decent impact in the market. But its higher price lays off pretty much image building venture.
